Marine and Freshwater plant field trip June 2004

Due to the popularity and success of the last FW plant trip, I will now see if we have enough people for a Marine plant trip the day after the FW trip is done.

Coral reef, SeaGrass beds, Mangrove sponge ecosystems, rocky intertidal hard bottoms will be examined in the Florida Keys.

I'll tell more later.
3 days of FW planted field trips anmd then a day off and another 3 days with Marine plants.

What's the purpose of the FW field trip, and what do you gather?? I too am in SOCAL so I'm curious.

This is not in So CA, it is in Florida.
The purpose? To have fun ....and see plants in natural habitats, do some collecting, stop by and get some petrified wood, driftwood, fish etc.
The SW version plans to be very fun also.
