Here are some pictures. I am in Yonkers NY - about 6 miles north of the GW bridge and 12 miles south of the tapanzee.

I have a lot of male apisto cacatuoides, my temps were too warm and PH too low to have an even mix. Next batch should be 80% females and anyone who bought fish before will have first dibs. I think out of 40 or so juvies I have only 6-7 females.

I will quiz you to make sure you have sufficient space for the fish before you get to take them, hence going through the aggravation of posting here instead of selling to my LFS.

The parents of the angels for those of you genetically inclined- not sure if I remember the notations correctly but here goes:
Daddy is d/d-p/p and mommy is Z/Sm-+/S-+/P-+/V
That makes him a double dark pearlscale and her a leopard veil with a streak less and single pearlscale gene. The kids are all black hybrids, some are veils, some are standard.

For apistos the problem is they are territorial if you have males and females. They are fine until its time to start layign eggs- which a female will do every two- three weeks!

You could keep one pair in a 10 gallon. If you want to have more than one male and female you should really have 2 sq feet of bottom space for each male (a 1x2 section) as an absolute minimum. So on a tank less than 4' long should only have one male and one or two females. In a 55 you could have two males each with his own harem if its desely planted/decorated.

If you have a show tank and will only have males, you can have more without conflict. Problems only take place when the girls show up and start laying eggs. I have 11 males in my 90 gallon and they don't fight at all. I would NEVER try that if there were females around.

Angels should have a minimum 10-15 gallons per fish in a tank no smaller or shorter than a 20 high. You can have two in a 20 high. IME - Three is a really bad number for angelfish- you are almost certain to end up with a pair who will relentlessly beat up on the one odd man out. Go for two, or go for 4+. These fish are too young for me to sex, so I can't guarantee you pairs.

Wow, those angels are just fantastic...

Thank you, they are my babies! I wish I could keep them all. THe good news is mommy and daddy will make more and they're REALLY cute when they're little
