I spent some time on planetcatfish but still cant figure out what type of pleco this is heres a pic of him in his favorite spot.

the pattern kinda looks like the sailfin pleco

Catlid- are you referring to the Gibbiceps plec? If so that is definitely not them. They are brown with large black spots.
To me it looks like maybe a sub-species of the Rubbernose Pleco judging by the long sloping snout which is pretty characteristic of teh Rubbers. Look into them and see what you get. Anyway, hope this helps.

i wasnt really sure what type of pleco it was, i just was guessing

I think I've seen those sold as Bulldog plecos. I don't know the scientific name though.

It does look like a rubbernose, if that is the case I need to revaluate my tank condtions...
