Geez, they look so... uniform. It's like they're soldiers and someone just screamed "Attention!" at them.

Yes, this rotala sp. grows upright and straight. This picture was taken a little while ago (like 20 minutes ago). I trimmed it a week ago. Even the sideshoots grow straight up. They don't follow the traditional "Rotala bush" pattern, where it looks fluffy over time.

T-5 54W per bulb.
I have 4 bulbs.

The amount of bulbs go on depending on my mood that day. Sometimes, I'll only have two on. Others, all 4.

I turn co2 on at around 10 AM.
First set of lights (2 bulbs) on at 11:30-12.
Second set of lights (2 bulbs again, total of 4 now) go on 45 minutes - 1 hour later, after the first set has been on.
By 6 or 7 PM, I turn my 2nd set of lights off. By 8, the last set of 2 bulbs go off.
So I keep my lights on about 8 hours a day. Sometimes I come home late, so they're on for about 9-10. I try not to go past that though.

Obtaining the color of this plant is fairly easy, now that I've tried it out 4+ times. My first 4 tries ended up with me, stunting them and turning them green. It's one of the most beautiful plants out there though, so I kept trying them again. Now, FINALLY, I can grow them properly. They really are one of the most beautiful small stem plants available out there. Their color is quite unique and it is unfortunate that my awful picture taking skills ruins their beauty. They look much nicer in person :-) But then again, as do most things.
