i am looking to have a tiger goby
Gobiosoma macrodon

in my 5.5 reef tank
from what i can tell they can be housed with corals and are invert friendly
if water quality were not the issue would the space be sufficient?

what would you think about a sharknose goby?
is one better than the other? can i have both?

While it's a relatively small goby, a 5.5g is a pretty small area. I wouldn't encourage it, as at least one place online suggests a minimum tank size of 10g. I saw similar minimum tank size recommendations for the sharknose goby. That said, regardless of any potential aggression issues between the two, I wouldn't put both in a 5.5g.

How about a trimma goby? I believe those are good in as small as a 5g tank and I have seen them at my LFS for $20. Actually, online it says 10G for them as well, but I swore those were about the smallest fish I have seen for a nano tank.

Either one should be a good pick. They stay small, and a 5.5g tank would be the minimum tank size to keep one in IMO. It should be fine.
