Update on new cichlid tank

Hey guys. Im super happy. Just got my Rena xp2 filter installed and the tank is just about done. Stocking is finished and so is landsacape water circulation and filtration (for now?) Im gonna include some brand new pics and would like some advice on lighting. Currently i have a 10000K coralife t-8 bulb on the left and a 6500k t-8 on the right. I know this isnt correct but its just for now. also i will include water specs and other tidbits for any opinions on running it better. Thanks for viewing and helping. This is my first cichlid tank and only my second overall tank being that i swapped and sold into a 45 gallon.

50lbs play sand substrate
Nitratenitrate 20 ppm
nitrite .5ppm
GH 150 ppm
KH 180 ppm
PH 8.4 (maintained with API Buffer Max for African Cichlids)

Filtration and Circulation
-Marineland Penguin 200 (with 1/2 inch long drinking straws in front of cartridge filter to serve as bio media)
-Rena Filstar XP2 canister filter with bio ceramic rings, activated carbon and 20 and 30 ppi foam (adding micro filtration pads soon)
-Marineland Maxi-Jet 400

200W submersable aquarium heater (walmart brand)

Lighting and schedule
Coralife 10000K(L) and 6500K(R) 18" T-8 flourecscents
Run on timer from 6 AM to 9:40 PM

nm i got it i think sorry folks. Oh and btw some pics were of before i added black background and xp2. i think black looks better than the underwater pic
