Yes there are many FW rays, But they are Banned in several areas of the USA, and they still get pretty big. I have seen motoyo's measuring 18 inches across and still growing..
they are friggin awesome though, but if you dont have the room for an indoor pond, I wouldnt reccommend getting one..
Oh yeah, did I mention, they are poisonous?

You need to be able to do a major upgrade at some point, and any tank you keep them in in the meantime needs a clean, sandy bottom in addition to the tank pretty much being built around the rays needs. They're very sensitive.

Look into tea cup rays.I see them on aquabid quite often.150 gallons is probably the minimum for them.I have read a little about them, and from what I have gathered, they need to be kept with non aggressive fish.If kept with large aggressive fish, which would be tempting in a large tank, the fish tend to nip at the rays disc.

67chevelle. Don't beleive everything you read. Teacup rays are just a generic name for unidentified small rays that have anything close to a reticulated pattern. Don't buy stingrays labeled as teacup rays, only buy positivatly IDed rays. You never know if that cute, supposedly 14" teacup ray might turn into a 40" diameter otorongo.
Depending on what species of ray you get will depend on what sized tank. two of the more common rays are Motoro and Retic. The motoro grows to have a 24" disc diameter, and the retic to about 16". A motoro could live for life in a 8'x 3'x 2' and a retic in a 6'x 2.5'x 2'.
They need a sandy bottom and are sensitive. Keep with fish that aren't likely to lurk around the bottom of the tank much, otherwise the ray could sting and impale the fish. If you are going with a tank of that size, suitable tank mates could be arowanas, silver dollars (larger ones, red hooks etc) armatus, dats, and larger peaceful cichlids.
The antenae ray you have posted a picture of is especially sensitive because of it's long tail. It needs a tank 3' wide and at least 8' long, because of it's long tail. It's disc isn't as big as others. You can't keep it with larger predatory fish, because they may mistake the long tail as a tasty treat, and this will severly shock your ray and possibly kill it. Fish like Geophagus and Black Arowanas should be fine though.
Anything else I can help with just ask.
