I was working on setting up a little tabletop fountain for my mom using a large flowerpot tray and the little resin fountain topper she's been wanting to use for quite some time now. I put it together on the kitchen counter a little while ago just to test it out, and my mom came in and looked at it. She said it looked like it was going to be pretty cute...

...then she asked if we can put fish in it. :D

Of course the tray only held a little under a gallon, so we have to go buy a bigger one so she can have a couple guppies. I'll be fitting the pump with a bit of sponge for filtration too.
I just thought it was funny that she's starting to look at containers that hold water the same way I do now: "I wonder if that'll hold fish?"

My girlfriend thought it was wired that i had a 100gal reef in my room lol and now she is picking out fish and coral she wants. She even asked me if i would start a seahorse tank (at my house of course) for her. I guess it a start.

My dad would like that idea. My mom, not so much. You're lucky!

My dad doesn't pay as much attention to the fish, but I think even he kinda likes them. He backed down on his "no more tanks" rule. :)

My dad is the one that got me started on fish. We went to a mom n' pop LFS yesterday in an old, messy looking building, but the inside and tank setups were flawless!!!! He wants to set up a 75 gallon tank now with a bunch as peaceful Amazonian fish. This shop had a bunch of rasboras, knifefish, tetras, etc. that I've never seen in shops before!

Awesome! I wish there were some shops like that around here.
