Problem with guppy! Possibly sick- please help asap!

have a male fancytail guppy with a bright yellow fin.

I noticed a red dot on it (like smaller than a pin prick size) at the end a week or so ago, but it went away, so I assumed it was maybe a piece of flake food that got stuck or something.


Anyhow, now his fin (to me, no one else sees it) seems to be thinning and going in on both SIDES and is still really full in the middle of it, but the middle of it has a thin red line around the edge of the fin.

I have NO idea what to do. I just noticed it more just not so I put him in the only option I really have which is a (brand new thank God) acrylic tupperware container without the lid.

Should I leave him in the temporary home? Will he die if left in it overnight until I can figure out wtf the problem is? I looked up fin rot thinking thats what it probably was but it doesn't look anything like that... he's also been acting fine, swimming happily, he was nipping at my balloon molly that I introduced today....

First things first, water parameters. Are your nitrites and amonia at zero? Did anything spike (or rapidly drop) to cause stress? Is anyone else showing signs of being ill/stressed?
