So I finally got my float switch for my main tank this week, so that if I ever loose siphon on my overflow, the pump in the sump won't over fill my display tank and result in a flood.

Well, after testing the switch and installing it, the switch wouldn't work everytime I dropped in into the water. It would instantly turn off. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what was going on.

After removing the switch from the mount and testing it in another location in the tank and finding it to function properly, I realized that my magnetic glass cleaner was on the side of the tank, right next to where I had mounted my float switch. :duh:

Needless to say.... moved the magnetic glass scraper and everything worked fine. Just thought I'd share to maybe help someone else down the road.
