tums, yum yum

Can they possibly OD on tums? I plan to put a LOT (about 15) in my next batch of jello, since one of my snails' shells is severely damaged. And my old batch got moldy since I kept it too long.

So I just gave them one tum for now.

Cute pics. Try freezing the jello I do that and it keeps for quite some time.

i freeze my snello too. recipe i used said it stays good in the freezer for about a month, but i would think you could keep it longer, as long as it was frozen shortly after making it.

Nils, why use the tums in snello? a calcium supplement i think would be better.

OD? There is no evidence calcium overdosing can kill a snail.

Tums is a calcium supplement itself being mostly calcium carbonate. I use 6-8 tablets myself for a microwave tupperware of snail jello.
