Hello all.
I have a blue hap that has started acting strange over the past few days. He has been very darkly colored for several days now, and his dark spots are showing more distinctly than usual. He hasn't really been eating and when I feed it seems that he can't see the food. He will start digging in the sand like he's hungry but doesn't actually eat. He seems to not have any spatial concept and will bump into things when he swims. He's not as active as usual, usually he is very lively and has a lot of energy. He has been staying mostly in the same spot and just swimming in place. None of the other fish are bothing him, or picking on him. He has no open wounds except for a small scrape on his side. It has no fuzz or goo around or in it. The only other thing are some whitish spots that almost look like little sand grains, but don't look like ich to me....I have had fish with ich before and it doesn't look the same.
He doesn't startle easily as usual when I walk up to the tank...again, kind of like he's not seeing anything.
I've had this fish for about 7-8 months now and the tank is a little older than that.
The water quality is great and no new additions have been added, and maintenance routine etc hasn't been changed.
His tank mates are a skunk loach, and OB peacock, a milomo, a sunburst peacock, a 5 banded, and a juli.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
