I've been looking up smaller cichlids that are hardy because this is my first time and the biggest tank I got is a 20 gallon wide tank. I've narrowed it down to 3 cichlids: kribensis, apistos, and convicts. I'm not really sure which one yet. I heard convicts are a great starter cichlid so I was leaning toward those. Also, I need to know the requirements for each of these species. Can ya'll help me out?

Convicts would be your best bet if u want babies and there are no specific requirements for these fish from what ive read well wait there is one actually and thats to have a male and female. not male with male not female with female but a male with female lol. that bout it I think.

I would too. If you choose convicts you'll quickly be overrun with fry. You can't really sell them and few LFSs will even take them for free.
