I am getting slightly worried. How long does it take for brigs to lay their eggs? My snail has climbed completely outta the water ( my water lvl is about 3 inches from the top) and has been cruising around up there for half of the day. I think she is trying to find a perfect spot for her to lay eggs, but dang it is worrying me. Will she be okay since she has been outta water this long?

She is fine. She will get back in the water if she is uncomfortable. I would turn the light out and limit the traffic around her tank. She will probably lay them as soon as it gets dark. Some of them are very private. :)

i wouldn't worry. i've seen my briggs take quite some time (over 5 days) between breeding and laying the clutch, but then again, i could have missed some breeding in between (i don't make it a habit to watch my snails do..... well, you know, lol)

My canas lay eggs in the open. Before, they tend to be discreet but they do it in broad daylight now.:D

My briggs to seem to prefer a darken time to lay eggs but my Giant Ramshorns lay them in daylight and dark they dont seem to care.
