hello all,
So I am in some need of help. I am trying to get my levels in my tank under control. I have a 125 AGA with a 20 Gallon sump. 3x250 watt 65k sakis with 110 pc acintics, 150 lbs at least of live rock, 6 in dsb, lots of water movement (6 powerheads and return from sump). I have sps and softies and some fish. I also am trying to start my calcium reactor and get all levels happy. Recently I left the country for 2 months and experienced good growth with the sps corals while I was gone ( http://www.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=132987 )
I just tested my alk and it was at 1.71meq/L while I was gone the tank was dosed with sechem reef builder-which is sopposed to raise alk twice a week and calcium once a week.
So what do I need to do to make these levels happy? I have a calcium test kit, but cant find it, when I find it I will test it.

My calcium reactor wont raise the alk right? I am still new to the calcium reactor thing so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am doing searches for these subjects but would like some specific help.
Thanks,
tren

yes I did finally,
Well the calcium tested over 500 so I am trying to slowly bring up my alk with daily doses of seachem reefbuilder but soon baking soda. After I get it to 3.7 I am going to crank up the calcium reactor. hopefully that will do the trick,

usually calcium reactors result in higher alkalinity and lower calcium levels...

So yes, your reactor will bring up the alk.
