my mom keeps worrying that if i want to rescape my 55, and uproot a few plants, they're all gonna die..

that true?

some may wilt a bit but they should be perfectly fine!!

good luck!

They should bounce back if they look a little worse for the wear after you replant them. I pull up and replant some of my plants at least once a week. The ones I avoid touching are the crypts. They really don't like being disturbed and sometimes will 'melt' and take awhile to recover.

Crypts are most sensitive and will melt typically when changing parameters from one tank to another. I havent had any problem moving them around in the same tank.

I re-scape my 55 gallon overflowing with plants every month all my plants do just fine. And i mean overflowing practically. I have over 40 kinds in my tanks. So your should be just fine :) Do you have any pics of your tank? Would love to see it .

yeah, i posted a thread in the photo gallery of an upcoming journal where im going to rescape it. theres already a pic up of what it looks like right now. :D
