30-gal Planted Light Question

So I have a planted aquarium with some mircosords, Corkscrew ValsX5, and moneywortX4. I know I'm going to do a DIY Co2 System and have a heater in place. At this point I just don't know about my lighting situation. (I don't know what kind of light it is, or even how to check) I currently have the light that came with the tank so I'm pretty sure that it's not enough for what I want. (a jungle!!) I'm willing to buy whatever, but I just don't know what I need. Can anyone give me some links or an idea of what I need?:help:

The bulb should have the wattage stamped on it. What kind of bulbs does it have? Or if you can suppy the brand of the hood, maybe a pic of the inside.

!) Needs lots of light (at least 3+ watts per gal).
2) Bulbs should be 6500K to 10000K.
3) Need CO2 and ferts.
4) Jungle will need pruning. :)

Ok, lol I'm home and it's 18watts. I need to get another one. It's 29". I'm going out today to take a look at what they have at petsmart, but If I don't find anything can someone give me a recomendation?

Petsmart doesn't really carry good fixtures, or at least not around here, they might have some Hagenglo fixtures, but those dont seem very good, especially the price. you might do better ording online. Or a real fish store.

Yay! Got a new light! 98Watts 10k. It's a lil loud, but not louder than our AC, so no biggie. I'll post pics when I add fish and have some plant growth.

That's some serious lighting! Be sure to get that CO2 runniung ASAP and you will need to add ferts. I'd limit the photoperiod untill the you have the fert regime and CO2 up. Otherwise may have an algae factory on your hands.

JBJ is the manufacturer, but I'm not sure about anything else. I'll check when I get home.
