One of my female sterbai cories hold on to the eggs too. She can never find the perfect spot to put them down.!

As far as I know, all corys hold onto the eggs prior to placing them.

Yes, they all do hold onto the eggs until they place them. Just this one female holds them for about 15 minutes each time! Most females don't take that long to find a place to put the eggs.

One of the great displays a worried momma looking for the spot she cleaned perfect to put them. GOTTA LOVE IT!!. I can watch them lay all day. I just got my aspidora albater to lay. They preferr a hagen filter with the tube on top and she will jam her little body down the tube turn sideways deposit the eggs and come back out.

Typical female- can't make up her mind.....

My favorite part is watching a group of corys rolling and tumbling all over the tank.

How can i inspire my corys to start breeding? I have pygmy and habrosus and would love to see babies of either. I have some driftwood i'm waiting to put in because of excess tannins. Would putting that in now help stimulate them a bit?

I wish that pic was better. Looks like a cute fish. :) I love my corys above all else in the tank so far.

First they have to be old enough, then conditioned with a good diet where something with a higher protein content like frozen bloodworms are given. Once they are conditioned and filling with eggs, a large water change with the new water a few degrees cooler than the old water should do it, although mine never wait for the water change!

i've also noticed that weather changing seems to "inspire" them. maybe the change in barometric pressure?

You are correct on that too!
