I just saw this advertising piece for Hagen's new all in one aquarium. It has pretty cool looks, although it's fairly plastic looking. I like the idea of it, but think it misses a few marks for me... such as being able to easily use nets and tools in the tank, and having daylight color light.

what do you think?

I think, nope. In alot of ways.

I like the aeshtetic, but that lid being sealed with just the "access" panel would make it a no go for me.

Cleaning that thing would be an exercise in patience for sure. The limited surface area would reduce respiration as well, wouldn't it? Neat from a design perspective but not terribly practical at all. Definately not a technological improvement.

I love the idea of aquariums with big aesthetic appeal as well but why can't we get one that is also practical for the humans and the fish.

remember that guy?
The hagen one could make a neat aquatic garden but my first impression is that it's toeing the line of "I wouldn't keep fish in that" for reasons mentioned by Zebulon

And to think you get all these innovative features that will make you the envy of your local aquarium club for just $150 or $25 per gallon. :silly:
