I have a Coralife Aqualite 48" 4x65W CFL, and can't seem to get all the lights to fire. I've replaced bulbs and ballasts:
1. Last fall, a ballast failed so I got two new ones. Worked great.
2. In January, got a new set of Current bulbs, 2 dual actinics and 2 dual daylights.
3. A month later, the actinics wouldn't come on regularly. I switched spots with the daylights and it followed the bulbs. I figured I got a bad set of bulbs, so I replaced the actinics with Coralife bulbs (Foster and Smith did that for free. Good customer support!)
4. Recently, one of the daylights wouldn't come on, so I replaced it. Still no joy. I figured I had a bad ballast. Called Coralife and they sent me a new one (Good customer support, Again!)
5. I replaced (what I thought was) the bad ballast. Now the Daylights won't come on no matter which side I put them on. The actinics work in either spot.
I'm stumped. Is the one old daylight messing things up? I don't know how to diagnose what's wrong without continually replacing bulbs/ballasts. I can't afford to do that (or get a new fixture altogether).
Any ideas?
