You can right click on the video and go to youtube for fullscreen and high quality options.
Notice the small yellow triangle in the mid section. This is a young adult female, and the yellow stuff is the eggs developing before she lays them and holds them in her tail.

great video. The more I see these little guys the more I want them. I have a 29 gallon Ram tank, and a 10 gallon guppy tank, and a 75 gallon tank with barbs in it. The only tank I would be comfortable adding them too is the guppy tank, and that is overstocked already. I have been thinking of putting a few of the guppies in with the Rams though.

You will have alot more success with breeding shrimp if you don't add any fish with them until the colony is established and breeding and they have plenty of plant cover. Also, cover the filter intakes with sponges or filter bags so you don't suck out the tiny babies.
We have shrimp breeding well in a 55 gallon vivarium with guppies, but we started that tank with just plants. We let the plants sit for about a month, then added the shrimp and gave them about four or five months to get established before introducing a few guppies.
Now the guppies are getting crowded, and there are also 6 fire belly toads in the tank. But I still see juvenile and baby shrimp once in a while, and the adults are bright red and doing great. I'm sure the survival rate is much higher in the 30 gallon shrimp only tank, but I love having multiple species from different levels of the food chain thriving together in one tank.
