Does anyone know if there exists plans, or has anyone attempted to build their own stand for a 55G + 2 smaller aquariums underneath?

I have a 55G community tank at the moment (it's occupying the buffet in the kitchen as that's the only piece of furniture strurdy enough and large enough to hold it) - it can't stay there forever.

Space is at a premium- but I would like one day to have an invert tank. (shrimp and snails) and a crayfish tank. Bright idea: Build a stand that can hold the 55G + 2 smaller aquarims.

I suspect 20G tall are the best fit- since they're each 24" wide. (2 * 24 = 48... 55G is 48 inches wide).

The alternative would be a 40 gallon (36 inches long) with a divider in the middle.

I would like a little storage space at the bottom (for air pumps, fish food, etc)... but this wouldn't need to be much.

Anyone know where I can get plans for this? I've no experience working with metal- so wood would be preferable. Has to look nice because it will be in the living room.

www.garf.com (http://www.garf.com) Just used the site to build my 100gal stand. It's pretty good.
