(sorry for the crappy shot)

What is it?

Apparently snails and shrimps are fast becoming banned in my county for some reason. Something to do with a local E Coli outbreak in the sewers. That is what my LFS's have been telling me. I finally found one that carried some and they only had these guys.

Labeled "Gold Snails." @ $1.99

How do I get it to lay eggs?

Golden Apple Snail/Golden Mystery Snaili have 4 of those in my 5, they get pretty big, mine are about the size of a golden dollar! they need male and female to breed, raise temp, lower water level and feed generously, BTW they lay eggs out of the water, thats why i said to lower water level..U NEED A HOOD TOO..they will go out of the tank if u dont have a hood

It is a pomacea bridgesii, also known as a Mystery Snail, also known as a brig, brigg, or apple snail. Mystery snails are apple snails but not all apple snails are mystery snails.

Confused yet? :D
