Even though it is also in the other thread of mine, i figured id put this out too.
I was told to get another power head... koralia2 and instead of my floating heater get a digital one... i was thinking of getting a chiller but since its so small i could really only find this

Any suggestions besides the ones already given to me are well appreciated and taken note of! Thanks!

Btw is a skimmer necessary?!

In your size tank, no, it is too hard to put a skimmer on it that will do you any good.

Also, didn't realize it was a 14G, thought it was the 28G, so I would go one less on the powerhead, go with a Koralia1. 2 would still work, but be a little big and powerful in that size tank. I would stick it about 1/2 way down the right side/back wall under the slits of the overflow at first and see how well it works there.

Would that chiller be a good idea also? if thats what you were talking about in my other thread?

Chillers are cool (hehe), but is it worth the expense?

I read on various forums that a lot of people freeze bottles of water and toss them in the tank on hot days to keep the temps down. But they do this on much larger tanks, I can't say what a poland springs frozen water bottle would do to the temps in a 14g.
