Is 11 hours with the light on too much time?

I think more information is required before anyone can give a definitive answer.

What sort of lighting system are you using? What wattage? What sort of organisms are present in your tank?

I've got a Yellow Tang, Regal Tang, a yellow tail Damsel and a Mandarin Goby in it. Some live rock with small feather dusters, a small anemone about the size of a dime living on it too and a couple funky orange things living out of the rock that open up like the shape of a bowl. The lighting is the high output strip. The kind that sustains anenomes.I've been running it for 10 hours and was wondering if 11 was OK.

Ditto. 12 is about the max. More than that might encourage algae.

11 or 12 hours is fine. You dont really have to worry about algae growth from having them on longer as long as the spectrum is good and you are not heating up the water with the lights. I am curious about the bulbs that you have though. You say they are high output for anemones. What bulb is this and what size is the bulb. Also what size tank is this on?
