OMG this is so wrong

I have to agree with some of the posters there... I would have to know more, if it really did not harm the fish than what would be the issue?

I don't exactly know how I feel, to be honest. It frightens me that "Nemos" could be kept in bowls.

Couldn't see the picture- not a member there and don't want to join just to see a picture; nonetheless, I get the gist from the forum thread.

A "magic" susbstance that lets fresh and marine water fish live together. I don't see anything terribly wrong with that to be honest- except for the question in my mind "how many fish did they kill before they got it right?"

I am of course, assuming this isn't all a giant hoax. (which is a strong possibility).

I had the same dilemna with Glofish- I wasn't going to get any- but my wife loved them and they are so widespread me buying a couple to join my golden danios and zebra danios is not going to exaccerbate people geneticly modifying fish. (they do brighten the tank up though). How many Danios were killed trying to make them?

I saw comments on that about it being wrong to mix fish from different ecosystems:

although, people mix asian, african, american, river, lake and stream fish together all the time- and I don't think anyone complains about that!!!!

I'm interested to see how it works on inverts. Would this allow you to breed nerites and amanos in a "freshwater" tank? How much will this stuff cost? Many questions.

I see lionfish flying off the shelves here in Oklahoma... the beloved cock fighting will be replaced with "cage" matches between oscars and lion fish... (I live in a very backward world).

But, if it doesn't hurt the fish then who knows. I just hate the idea that it would open up sw fish to the same tortures that the FW fish have to endure at the hands of inexperienced uncaring fish owners. Who knows though, maybe the price of sw fish will keep away the fray. But I can certainly see many clowns going into beta bowls if this ever really catches on.

Here is the pic for everyone who can't see it.

It's a red X! ;)
I want one of them in my tank- will go nicely with the blue Y! :silly:

Thank you for trying, would have been nice if that worked... unfortunately didn't seem to work though! :(

Can you post a summary or give us some kind of idea where this mystery link is going to take us so that people who are on public computers or at work might be able to view it as well?

Basically some Japanese scientists have made some "magic" water that allows you to keep saltwater fish in a freshwater aquarium without an expensive saltwater setup- AND alongside freshwater fish.

From the forum discussion sounds like they had goldfish swimming happily with Clown fish in a glass bowl... The company say they've tested lots of fish for it's safeness... no mention of inverts. Supposedly the original intents of this product was some medical application.

If someone copies the picture onto their computer, and uploads it into photobook, then they can post it.
