View Full Version : Peacock panting at the surface. Help!

One peacock, 2.5 inch long is at the surface and panting, the color is faded and he is slow. He is not eating. I have put him in the nursery for rest. :(
What should I do with him?

IS he the only fish that is showing symptoms? How long have you had him? What are your water tests? Does anything look wrong besides the panting and color loss?
Sounds liek you need to do a water change right away. Save some water for a test. Probably high nitrite levels.

PUMP with air and do a 50% water change

Well, he passed away last night. :( He is the only one that way) His tummy was a bit bloated. I had him for 10 days. I got 4 more of his brothers 4 days ago.
I will do a 40% water change just in case. Thanks,
