Landscaping paving stones are fairly cheap,at least compared to what pet stores charge for rocks.

ye.. that is gonna be my next purchase-- I was thinking of doing something with slate tiles

probably next week

but IMO they are both for the better as they are... they were both really getting run down and in need of a rescape

Is that a bunch of wisteria in the top of the tank? If so I would plant some of it. I like tanks that have more plants in them though. What happened to all the plants that were in there?

The reason I didnt plant more is because it will be overgrown again shortly

My plants grow out of control... that is why I rescaped it- it will grow back in again

I took some of the wisteria out... some of it went into my other tanks.. some if it got sold

the reason I have a floating glob of it at the top.. is for my guppy fry

check out the pics below...

FIRST PIC- the day I first planted the tank
SECOND PIC- A month later

I DID NOT ADD ANY PLANTS BESIDES THE VAL IN THE BACK.. EVERYTHING ELSE IN PIC2 GREW IN NATURALLY IN A MONTHS TIME

Nice tanks. Though I agree you need more rockwork.

I like what you've done, looks nice, I know it's not complete yet. Love that piece of driftwood and the rocks look realy nice. I always like to use a lot of shaped rock rather than mostly flat when I had my cichlid tank.
