Conair, just make sure what you get is REALLY porcelain and not just coated. The metal will still heat unevenly underneath.

Tourmaline is better than porcelain (hair dresser :D )

For now I'm looking for something in the 20-30$ range...

Go with the Conair then. About $22, has variable heat settings, and won't burn the crap out of your hair

Do they come in black or any dark colors? I don't want one that would look girly since I'm a guy.

Last summer I was tuning up my old ford truck..
It has an MSD 6A Ignition, and a BlasterII coil.. It generates like a bazillion volts or something...

Anyway I was making an adjustment on the carb, and accidently made contact with the screwdriver to the coil wire on the truck, and it zapped the crap outta me!! It straightened my hair right out, and didn't cost me a nickel!!

And on the plus side, the twitching is finally starting to go away!!

i bought a straighenter from walmart and its the best i have ever owned.... Conair sucks compared to this 1... Its a Remington wet to straight... of course i don't use it to dry and straighten my hair at the same time like it says you can... but it goes from 1 to 30...30 being the hottest... Its a really awesome Straightener. all my friends have 1.

My GF bought the one on television, with the rotating drum.
She got one free..

Says its junk, and not to waste your money.

But I still have the old ford , if you wanna give it a shot.

Take it from a pro, those wet to straights are the WORST possible thing you can do to your hair. You are essentially boiling it. It mike look nice for awhile but eventually your hair will pay the price.

Now there's one problem I'll never have in my life. My hair refuses to do anything but straight. Also feels like tiny shards of glass when it's cut.

i was joking kyryah, lol.

as for any sort of appliance used for hair, does using a blow dryer about 4 times a year count as styling? hahahaha! ponytail girl here.

When I was in high school my hair was curly, so I used empty soup cans (both ends cut off) to roll my hair up. Now, many moons later, I want curls and my hair is straight so I use a curling iron..... sigh......
