You can have the convict if you want it! LOL....its a joke, vf gave it to me when I got my oscar as a tankmate. The oscar nearly killed it more than once, now i am stuck with this single con clogging up my qt, lol. we jokingly call it my convict cichlid of freindship. I have no idea what to do with it.

If you want to send it to me with my next order, I will take it. My little girl con will enjoy the company. And being in the tank with all of the "bigger" fish, too many babies won't be an issue.

Sounds great! He is definitely a male, and a nice big one too. I feel bad for him all on his lonely, lol

snoopy65
05-31-2009, 6:03 PM
He won't be lonely here. My little female is trying to get any of the other fish in the tank to spawn with her. She dances around all of them - even the African Knife.

I have a tank with Rainbow colored gravel and another with green does that mean I don't have to worry about Vampie bothering me too, or is that only for people with blue gravel?...:-)

Nice pictures too by the way...

Load warning- shrimp, endlis, discus, oscars, and snails-but not all in the same tank
Can we get a picture of all of them in the same tank? preferably a 30 gallon?

msjinkzd
06-02-2009, 9:39 AM
haha, the endlis and gar won't even fit in a 30g! :D They are over a foot long each and about as thick as a soda can.

how do you like your farlowella? im thinkin about getting one but dont no much about it

msjinkzd
06-02-2009, 8:49 PM
The one I have is a juvie. They are very neat fish but pretty still adn quiet. I wouldn't put them in a tank that isn't well established as they seem to just ignore everything but what they are doing. Very peaceful and lovely though.

chunkswrestles
06-02-2009, 8:51 PM
are they good algae eaters or are they for show

msjinkzd
06-02-2009, 9:11 PM
they graze on algae constantly. i cannot really speak for their efficiency as I don't have a problem, but its why I suggested a well established tank. Mine has never showed interest in prepared foods, they seem to ignore it.
