Hi.
Eh.... perhaps a silly question, but when changing part of the water of a bigger tank.... how do you do that.....
I mean, I understand with my smaller tank: I siphon the water off and into a bucket which is lower then the tank. Gravity does the work.
And then with filling up: I fill my bucket with water, same temp, use water ager, place that bucket on a higher spot as the tank and use the siphon again (little bit bigger one, goes quicker). Gravity does it again for me.

But now I have a real 'grown up' tank on the way, 3 feet, 50 g. And then the water changes will be more then a bucket. My sink/kitchen is to far away, so I'll have to do several buckets. No problem taking it out.
But putting it back in....
More then one bucket, no problem.
.... but where do I put the buckets. Nothing high enough to put the bucket on higher then the (new) tank.....

How does this work? How do you all do it?

Thanks
:newbie:

You picks up the bucket and pour it in. ;)
Again and again. :)

Thats how my 55g gets done, anyway.

Sounds logical...
.... but with a planted tank (I want to create an 'Amano' tank...... :grinyes:), won't that disturb the tank??

large water change

No Python to run to a drain or sink ?? run it out a door to the outside :)

yep,you attach it onto where the water comes out on your faucet ,and a long hose will still work. Garden hose works fine too and is cheap to attach to your python for a longer distance.I lil adapter screwed onto your faucet and it all goes easier
