Hello again, ive been having so much fun looking after my new batch that i thought i had better post something. This time i had no idea they were even laid until the parents had moved the clutch into a shell right in full view.

There colours really shine when brooding, I have another large female braziliensis in my 350l and she looks dull in comparison. A real treat for the eyes!

They are now free swimming as you can see. Im feeding them on brine shrimp, crush flake and what ever there parents leave behind.

Any advice for keeping fry would be appreciated greatly, post away fish chumbs

P.S. I had a scare the other night, i popped on there light unit and shock horror not a fry in sight. Only after a long inspection did i notice the mother had collected up all 300 fry and deposited them under her belly and was literally sitting on them. You can see the mass of fru in the one above photo! Amazing mouth brooding skills.
