walmart it's around $4 for something like 25-30 lbs. you just have to rinse it VERY VERY well. and i use root tabs and MTS to keep my plants and sand healthy

not at the moment. they have a tank all to themselves. battling the Ph drops when using CO2 and possibly deteriorating the snails shells was really started to wear on me. with their own tank, I can keep the Ph MUCH higher and at a steady level and give them the special care they deserve
