so im starting my 40gal planted tank. i bought a large piece and a medium piece of drift wood. i found a local shop that sells lots of assorted plants.

heres my 40gal (dirty water is due to me soaking my driftwood and washing my sand)

i was thinking java moss around the wood. some java fern and anubia's here and there and dwarf hair grass for my carpet.
 
that largest piece of wood.....i'm so jealous..... it would compliment my one piece perfectly......


(note to self: find snoozer's house, steal wood from tank) kidding!!!!!
 
I really like the wood. Your plants sound fine although the hairgrass can be demanding. What kind of lighting do you have?
