Early reports say he hung himself? At 70+ years of age I find that very odd indeed.

I'm sure more details will be forthcoming.

personally I just dont see a 70+ year old individual hanging themself, let alone someone with the built in disciplines that mr carradine would have had as a result of what he was in the way of a martial artist.

my initial thought is foul play, then again stranger things have happened.

I would wonder if there was any remnant vendetta for how he stole bruce lee's idea from him and the part as well just my thoughts.

a big loss for the world for sure, he was a top notch actor in my book

One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble
Can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me

I'll never understand suicide. If that is indeed what happened.

Sad day either way. :(

It's a great loss that he's gone. And a tragedy even more so due to the circumstances, whatever actually happened.

Mental illness is very hard to understand. If he did suffer from depression maybe it will shed more light on the mental health, and how it is so important to be aware of it and keep in check at all ages of life.

Rest in Peace.

Now they're saying it may be another "Michael Hutchence" (INXS singer - accidentally offed himself while trying to get himself off)... Evidently, the window blind cord was also wrapped around parts other than his neck.

I was very sad to hear this. I don't think he wanted to kill himself, it sounds like it was indeed auto-erotic asphyxiation. Rare thing for a 71 year old man to die from.

Deaths often occur when the loss of consciousness caused by partial asphyxia leads to loss of control over the means of strangulation, resulting in continued asphyxia and death. While often asphyxiophilia is incorporated into sex with a partner, others enjoy this behaviour by themselves, making it potentially more difficult to get out of dangerous situations

thats not the intent of sex with yourself..
