help! i have 2 blue rams (male, female) just bought them they are about an inch in size but the female is a little larger. the female constantly chases and harasses the smaller male. what should i do?

Make sure they have plenty of hiding places and broken site lines. If they are just chasing, lip locking, etc it ok as long as they both get to eat....This is normal behavior as they establish their territory as well as test eachother to see if they are worthy of being a mate. Just watch and make sure there is no real damage....and try to enjoy this wonderful show of how nature works...;)

*edit* what size tank are they in?

Normally the males are larger than the females. My male use to chase around my female but not the other way around.

thanks for the replies. as of now it doesnt seem to be anything serious just chasing like how noodles52 described. they are in a 40 gallon along with 10 rummy nose and 4 quarter sized angelfish. i aslo have alot of plants and hiding places im sure the fighting is nothing serious just establishing dominance i guess
