Cory Cats Diet

Fed right before lights out

Diet for 3 cory cats

Saturday- mini cube of Frozen blood worms

Sunday- 6 Shrimp pellets

Monday- Hikari sinking wafer broken in three peices ( better dispersal)

Tuesday- bits of vegetable and a small amount of fish flakes

wednesday- Mini cube of frozen bloodworms

Thursday- 6 shrimp pellets

Friday- Hikari sinking wafer broken in pieces

Too much food? Not enough food?

Also!!!!!!

I am going to be getting 2 or 3 otocinclus and I hear they eat algae wafers is this going to interfere with my cory diet

Will the cories go eat the wafer which will take food from
the otocinclus?

Better way to know, is by monitoring how much is left after a few minutes and watching for sunken bellies...

That seems like an awful lot of food for 3 cories. But then again I overfeed my Guppies just so I can watch my small "tribe" of Pepperd Cories(24 of them) and my 5 Otto's go crazy darting around in search of falling food debris. Never a sunken in belly in my aquariums no matter what species.

For only three( i think you should get at least 3 more) that seems like a bit much.As far as the otos, the cories will eat algae discs as well. But as Bishop pointed out,how much is left after a couple minutes?I feed 10 of mine 3 shrimp pellets, and that seems like enough.I also feed them half a cube of blood worms 2 or 3 times a week. And they always eat the freeze dried blood worms, and flake food I feed the Betta that is in the tank as well.

Yeah. I normally give 3 shrimp pellets about __ this big every night, and they demolish those. but I am gonna have to fine tune that diet up there. I will start small and see what works.

Can I have 6 Cories in a tiny ten gallon tank. Isnt that overstocking?
