Hello everyone i just got some Firemouth Cichlids and im wondering since i got 2 males and 1 female when they will start pairing of?? and some tips on firemouth cichlids would be good=)

Your Firemouths should pair off fairly quick once they reach sexual maturity. Once they start breeding you can't stop them! I would recommend having a decent sized tank (55 gallon or better) if you have a small odd number of Firemouths. (A larger group of fish can greatly reduce stress from fighting.) Two of them will inevitably pair up and the third may become the victim of bullying. I don't think that the "Daddy" would kill the opposing male but the constant bickering can really stir up a nice peaceful community tank.
I currently have a pair of Firemouths in my tank with about 50 fry. These fish are a hoot to watch. A great addition to a peaceful/semi-aggressive community tank. They are very territorial but don't really do anything more than charge at other fish and flare up.
