Specifically someone like Mojo who has both Jumbo and that red-tail catfish...
... what does it take to get them out of the tank if you need to?

hook line and sinker:P
but seriously, whenever i've had to catch huge oddballs at work, it's usually a case of a huge back, wet towel and big newt, coupled with a hell of a lot of luck...

Mo recently moved his pacu, and he used some knock-out juice, a buddy, and lots of towels. It took several towels and 2 people to move a 3 foot lung fish. We wrapped the towels around ths fish, and hefted it out of the tank. Carrying it up the stairs was not fun.
I think most large fish are seldom moved.

What's the newt for?

I would guess that's a typo, and should say 'net'.
Though maybe newts are good pack animals?
:D

Oh, I was afraid he was using the poor newt as bait of some sort. Net makes sense.

lol, you should see the size of the newts around here, we train them to go in, pick the fish up in their mouths and take them to their new home:p
yeh, it was meant to say net, i'm not that cruel!

I used a large trout net to get my oscars (about 10-11 inches) out of their tank.

I like the trained newt idea better. Where can I get one? :p
