Anyone keep dubia? I just ordered 50 of them to start my colony.
What are Dubia you ask?

cockroaches.

Why dubia you ask?

To feed my herps
Can not climb
do not fly
slow
stay about 1.5"
live more than 18 month
mature at about 3-4 months old
females give live birth
birth 30 or more at a time
babies are born 1/8"
have no odor
no noise
easy to take care of
don't bite

So after I have a good colony I if anyone is interested I will be more than happy to ship some.

Awesome man, you won't be disappointed. I've got a colony of around 1,000.

Awww why didn't you just send me some?!?! instead of buying...
I'll keep everyone posted on my new arrivals hopefully Thursday!

Ewww...

If there is one thing on this planet I totally despise, it is cockroaches...
I'd rather feed my animals filet mignon every day rather than take the chance on bringing them into my house.

good luck with that..

cant climb? did you buy handicapped ones or something?
are you sure?

Zig they're not the species you call Terminix for. If they escape they die with in a few hours. They're a tropical species so they need higher temperature and humidity requirements than a normal house provides.

I have been thinking about selling starter colonies in the future. Right now I need to split mine in half and start another one.
