I decided to use dwarf sag's as the carpet plant of choice and planted a few bunches. I know some grassy plants can be encouraged to grow if they're trimmed down and I was wondering if this applies to dwarf sags as well.
Not in my experience. However, it does need good lighting to stay short. The more it's shaded, the longer it grows. In the front of my tank it's about 2"; where it's spread round the sides and under other plants it can grow to 12".
