Does annyone here use or have you used the algae removing fizz tabs by jungle? If so are they safe to use in tanks with scaleless fish? and also does it work on diatomic algae, because im starting to get it in my 5 gallon and i want to clear it up before it gets too thick.

Ive never tried them so I cant help you with that. Are the diatoms on the glass? If so, they wipe off easily. You should be able to get rid of this problem without any un-needed chemicals.

I try to use as little chemicals in my tanks as possible. I just don't feel right dumping some crap from a labratory in my aquatic friends home.

Go buy a bag of oranges. Clean the bag they come in real good and use it at your glass cleaner. :p They work awesome.

I also think you should cure the root of the alge infestation instead of "cleaning it up", just to have it come back again.

My $.02.

I wont use some chemicals as well. Whisper makes a GREAT alge scrub remover. 2magnets clip on to both sides of tank. inside and out, then just scrub away with out getting wet :)

P.S they float too
