some sort of iron deficiency?

i dont think its iron. it gets all of its ferts.
i think it resembles K deficiency but i dose it a LOT. maybe an overdose?

OD of ferts causes algae, not the problem you have. Do you have something pecking at it??

dont think so. i've never seen anything on the leaves except my ottos

It would help if we know your light level, CO2, and fert schedule.

maybe a potassium defeciency

it's all in my tank setup. 2.5 wpg, diy co2 with 5 2 liter bottles, i do not do ei dosing. NO3 is high straight from my tap, P i dose to 2ppm, and i dose K every other day. i'm interested about what my K level actually is because of how much i dose. gonna get a test kit when i have some cash.

NO3 from tap is likely insufficient for your needs at 2.5wpg, you also didn't list any micro nutrient dosing.

tap water is from a well and is between 40-80 ppm (i have trouble telling the different shades of red) and sorry i forgot to mention that i dose csm+b for trace.

Usually holes like that are from lack of K. You say you "does a lot". How much is a lot?? What kind of K are you doseing??

i'm dosing k2so4 from rex griggs. i'm dosing at least 10ppm every other day.
I'm think potassium also, but even other element deficiencies like magnesium will look like iron or potassium, because they're lack of will prevent plants from utilizing available metals.

Still think it is lack of K (potassium). How are you measuring 10ppm??

i made the solution. 10 ml of k2so4 gives me 2.6 ppm in my tank.

i dont disagree with you. it looks like a K problem to me too. but i dont understand why

I am now stumped too.
Let's try another kind of K.
I think artifical salt is K also. Not sure is that is usable.
