My blue ram is still sick. He is still colorless and looks unhappy. The female nipped his fins and I put him in 6 gallon QT. The first day, I observed very long poop which wasn't really "stringy" but very thin and then normal thickness and then thin and long but normal color.
I have tested everything and everything is still fine with the tank and water. It was suggested that he may have parasites.
First I gave him a short bath in some melafix to help with his nipped fins. i did this in aquarium water but outside of the qt tank so the meds would not mix.
I then added the prazipro to the tank, circulated it and put the blue ram back in the tank.
The instructions say just one dosage lasts 5-7 days?
Should I redose? When? Should I do a water change?
I read one site that suggested doing a water change every other day and replacing the amount of meds that would have been removed from the water change...do this 3 or 4 times.
It's been 24 hours and he still looks the same. He is eating but only if I target feed blood worms. He will eat flakes but only if one happens to go right in front of his face.
Any other suggestions to save my fish?
Thank you!
