Im working on putting together a diy co2 setup to save some green.

i have some parts planned out and still feel that im forgetting something.... take a look and any advice is welcome.

ill use a 5lb aluminum cylinder

i have a check valve, tubing and powerhead to use venturi method when its set up.

i dont know much about using a reactor any info on this??????

You will need a regulator between the tank and the neede valve.
You will also probably want a solenoid controller so you can have CO2 off when lights are off.
Also - get a drop checker and some 4dKH solution (and pH indicator solution if you don't already have some).

so i will plan to go

5lb cylinder> regulator> solenoidcontroller> needlevalve> bubblecounter> check valve> powerhead

Checkvalve is probably "optional" as is powerhead (if you have a deep tank and good wood diffuser and/or canister filter you can use to help dissolve CO2).

ill be ordering my fluval fx5 soon so ill remove the powerhead, and the check valve i already have from projects past, so ill use that just to use it.
