i recently did a long-overdue tear-down/clean/change/set up of my first ever ten gallon tank. when i first got it, i had bright blue gravel in there, then added a white/black mix to it after a while, of course it still looked extremely childish and unnatural. so i saved up some money, got a new filter, driftwood, pots, flourite, plants, and spray paint and re-did the entire thing. here are some pictures before and after of my new, soon to be heavily planted, 10 gallon tank. =]

Keep us posted. I made the same mistake with my first 10 gallon tank and got bright blue gravel. The other 10g I got for free also came with blue gravel. My 10g tanks are very childish too =/

yeah, i hate it too. i wish we were just instilled with the knowledge we know now when we decide to start keeping fish, haha.

thanks though, and i'll definitely keep you guys updated, i can't wait to get some more plants in there and for them all to spread and fill in nicely.

and sorry, btw, for my mistype on the title again, haha, second one today, i think i'm developing dyslexia. was supposed to be overgrown, if a mod happens to stop by and could change that.. ;]

Looking good! I just changed out my 125. I think I had every color in the rainbow in there before.

Nice improvement!

i made the same mistake with mine too :swear::mad2: now i have no idea how im going to switch substrate, its probably gonna be a reall pain...Does it take long?

nice looking little tank diamond, i've recently set up a 100 gal SA tank with sand and wood and plants
