Hi

My RTBS is looking a bit lean. He spends most of his time chasing other fish away from the food instead of actually eating it himself, so that could be the reason! ..but what food can I tempt him with that he would really like?

Thanks :)

What have you tried?

my boyfriends RTBS loves algae wafers and zuchini, along with frozen brine shrimp and generic tropical flake.

Ah, zucchini, good idea. He's got a better chance of getting a good feed of that because it can stay there for a few hours.

The other fish gobble up the brineshrimp too quickly for him I think.

Darn, I tried blanched zucchini twice this week and he didn't touch it. The catfish and loaches were all over it, but not him. He's really not a very good eater!

It takes a while for fish to get used to veggies sometimes. I would give it another try or two.

I tried zucchini 3 times and nothing then a carrot nothing then zucchini again on the 3rd day it was in the tank the oto finally decided to eat the rind. Point being sometimes it takes a few tries and a while in the tank before they decide its to thier tastes. Just for info I put my veggies in a small lid so I can leave them in tank longer and still get them out after they fall apart without making a mess.
