bloated/fat MALE Angel

HELP my MALE angel is getting really fat! I have a breeding pair and they spawned early last week. I am not actively breeding so I just 'let nature take it's course' and all the eggs are gone. Over the past few weeks I've noticed my male getting fatter and fatter... at first it was just a little bulge around the stomach area but it just keeps getting bigger! I'm really concerned about my big gold boy... I've had him for so many years I don't want to loose him.

He looks normal otherwise, his fins are open and he's swimming normally. He did not eat the flakes I put in this morning where he normally is a big PIGGY! I'm thinking constipation?? I've been cutting down on all food and stopped feeding (frozen) bloodworms for now. I might have been feeding them too often for a little while there... My female looks normal and is eating normally. She has a little 'tummy bulge' but nothing more than normal

Anything other than peas to try and help him? Could it be something other than constipation? I haven't added any new fish in months, the water parameters are excellent...

oh no no I didn't mean that I wouldn't give peas, was just wondering if there was anything ELSE I should do...

I don't have any peas in the freezer so I'll be getting some today

Well he didn't take the peas... the tetras gobbled them up but he didn't go near them. The female angel took some but spit it right out. He keeps coming to the front when I open the lid of the tank as if he wants food but he's not eating... his fins are still open and he is swimming around the tank, not hiding. He is breathing a bit quicker than normal I think.

He is in an epsom salt bath now.
