In my new 100g tank i am setting up i am planning on adding:
3 silver/bala sharks
3 angel fish
3 silver dollars

also i was wondering how would 2 plecos go?? I aint sure which type yet. Can anyone tell me what other type of fish they might add?? Thanks, Rhys.

Fish you've listed seem to be mostly black and silver. For some color try some rainbows.

Bala sharks and silver dollars will eventually grow big enough that you can't keep too many of them or keep other fish with them just because of the bioload.

I used to have both. Had to give the silver dollar back because it ate my plants and gave back the bala shark because my 55 gallon was not big enough for it.

I would just go with one common pleco. They do get huge, up to 2 feet in length. If you get one make sure to get some drift wood as they need to munch some of that as well.

Plecos can get territorial as they get bigger so I wouldn't get more than one of the big guys. Also as these are all big fish you will need to really make sure to over filter this tank and do lots of water changes to keep the quality of the water high.

ok...thanks...
i do have an old filter here that i got free with the tank but i never used so i will add that in to.

I have decided now on the type of fish i will get.

I might suggest 4 Balas, they do school but most of the time they are in pairs (susposedly it's impossible to sex a bala under 6-8 inches+ ?)...

I had one of my 4 die (still don't know why) and it appeared that one of them was always a 3rd wheel (always a different one)... Once I added a 4th of similar size, they stayed in pairs again.. not necc. the same pairs, they like to 'swap' ;)
