This is what I put together today.
Couple questions....
1) Can I put MTS in there to shift the sand and act as a clean up crew or will the mudskippers eat them?
2) Anyone with experience keeping the mudskipper with fiddler crabs? If there is a chance the crabs could injure the mudskippers, I don't want to try it.

Beautiful tank! I think they will be happy. Are you doing brackish water? And about the crabs.... they are the mudskippers natural food so you have to mahke sure they are too big to eat and not big enough to hurt the skippers. And I don't know about MTS and brackish water. Maybe msjinkzd will know. Good luck with them, they are a blast.

Thanks Jacki.
I stole the filter ideal off you. So far I really like the water fall effect.
It will be brackish. I ordered the mudskippers off of frank. I am hoping that are packed with enough water that I will be able to test the salt level and try to match it.
I have some MTS in my other brackish tank and they are doing fine, think maybe snails are on the mudskipper menu though.

MTS can be acclimated all the way down to saltwater, so they'll be fine in brackish. Not sure about their compatibility with mudskippers though.

Oh, sorry to hijack, but good to know about the MTS.

If you got crabs too- would they not eat your plants?

I don't think I will get any crabs.
Don't want to set them up as food or have to worry that a mudskipper will get injured.
For now, all the plants are fake.
Found out today Frank is out of mudskippers, expects them in on the 28th. So, a couple weeks of looking at an empty tank. Oh well, think it will be worth the wait.

My atlantic mudskipper ate all my fiddler crabs. Indians may be small enough that they would ignore the crabs. My crabs never went near the fish. I would imagine MTS would be largely ignored.

Yea!!! I got a tracking #!
My skippers will be here tomorrow.
Frank got them in on the 28th, just like he said he would. He put them in QT for a week before sending them out & that is awsome of him!
Its nice to know someone cares enough to do their best to send out healthy fish & with Frank knowing a lot more about fish than me, I feel better about them spending a week under his care.
